The Way: Men's Retreat

The Way is a five-day residential for men who are attempting to live with integrity, steadfastness, and responsibility in the modern moment. It concerns the notion of formation of self in the context of world, relation, and other. The aim of the retreat is the development and stabilisation of the capacities required for reliable action in modern life. The program proceeds from the understanding that a man’s conduct is shaped less by one off experiences or profound insights, rather than by the organisation of his capacities. How a man stands in the world is an ongoing condition of human action, discipline of attention and presence. The work of the retreat is organised as a wheel of the domains that constitute a mature life for a man and which must are always present and continuously operative for men to live good  and full lives.
